Main Job Responsibilities:
1. Strategically plan, coordinate, and lead research projects, ensuringtimely completion, adherence to high-quality standards and efficient budget utilization;
2. Coordinate the identification and develop of new research opportunitiesto meet divisional needs, providing research support for programme evaluationinitiatives and long-term impacts on students of the Academy;
3. Supervise the daily operations and performance of the research team, managingoffice routines to ensure accountability and compliance with organisational standards;
4. Monitor the compilation and analysis of data to track changes andforecast trends, providing valuable insights to the Division Head to enhancedecision-making processes;
5. Assist the Division Head in assessing the effectiveness of programmes and services of the Academy by tracking performance indicators for various divisions;
6. Review regularly and update operational procedures, guidelines and, policies for Division Head’s consideration to align best practices and evolving organisational needs;
7. Communicate with related organisations and professionals to establishcollaborative partnerships and initiate research projects aligned with the Academy’s strategic direction, consulting with Division Heads and Educational Psychologist I as needed;
8. Disseminate research findings to relevant audiences through variouschannels, including publications, presentations, conference participation, withthe aim of positioning HKAGE as a regional knowledge hub of Gifted Education;
9. Keep up to date with advancements in data analytic techniques to enhanceresearch methodologies utilized within the Academy;
10. Perform any other ad-hoc duties and assignments as required.
Requirements:
a. A bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Education, Psychology, Research Studies or related disciplines from a local, mainland or overseas university, or equivalent, are required;
b. A post-graduate certificate/diploma in education especially in gifted education/curriculum studies, would be an advantage;
c. At least 7 years of post-qualification experience in qualitative andquantitative research of academic programmes, with a minimum of 3 years at managerial level;
d. Prior experiences with institutions or NGO in gifted education with SENprovision and educational psychology/counselling are preferred;
e. Strong project management skills are essential;
f. Good managerial and communication skills in leading and working with are search team;
g. Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese isrequired, with the ability to speak Putonghua considered an added advantage;
h. Good experience in computer/statistical software application (such as VBA, R, SAS, and SPSS).

Terms of Appointment:
The successful candidates will be offered a fixed-term of contract.Re-appointment will be subject to mutual agreement and good performance. A gratuity payment will be payable upon satisfactory completion of the contract. Fringe benefits include annual leave, medical and dental insurance.
