 Main Job Responsibilities: 

1. Develop, implement, and regularly evaluatethe Annual Publicity and Communications Plan with measurable goals to strengthen brand visibility, stakeholder engagement, and media impact.

2. Shape and promote the corporate image and strategic messages across targeted media platforms, social media, and public events; actively cultivate and manage positive relationships with media, influencers, and relevant external partners.

3. Lead and coach the PR team to ensure high performance in content creation, media engagement, and campaign execution aligned with organizational goals and branding strategy.

4. Oversee and manage the PR budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and achieving optimal Return on Investment(ROI) for publicity efforts.

5. Provide timely and strategic media insights and risk assessments to the senior management team on issues affecting theAcademy’s reputation or public perception.

6. Plan, coordinate, and evaluate the impact of promotional and branding activities across online and offline channels; ensure alignment with the Academy’s mission and communication priorities.

7. Drive the quality and consistency of institutional publications (e.g., Annual Report, press releases, feature articles) to reflect key achievements and strategic direction.

8. Collaborate closely with internal divisions to identify and support events, programmes, or milestones that contribute to brand positioning and public engagement.

9. Act as key crisis communication lead, managing PR issues and advising senior management on appropriate media handling and stakeholder messaging.

10. Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by the senior management team, contributing to the overall communications strategy and organizational objectives.


Requirements:

a. A recognized degree, preferably in Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Marketing or equivalent;

b. At least ten years of relevant experiencein public relations, corporate communications, journalism, event planning or related fields, preferably gained from sizable corporations or public organizations, of which at least four years at managerial level;

c. A proven track record of managing successful PR campaigns/events and organizing broadcast and media interviews for the executive and directors;

d. Excellent relationship with the press orsocial media in brand building and promotion;

e. Self-motivated and proactive in taking the initiative, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;

f. A good team leader with excellent interpersonal, communications, organizational and time management skills;

g. High proficiency of both written and verbal communications in English and Chinese (including Putonghua);

h. Solid experience in diversified IT applications and social media platforms including Blogs, Facebook, IG, etc.

Shortlisted candidates who are invited forinterview will be required to attend a written test.


Terms of Appointment:

The successful candidates will be offered a fixed-term of contract. Re-appointment will be subject to mutual agreement and good performance.  A gratuity payment will be payable upon satisfactory completion of the contract. Fringe benefits includeannual leave, medical and dental insurance.
