Native-speaking English Teacher (Under EDB NET Scheme)

Applicants should :

• Be a native speaker of English or possess native English speaker competence;
• Hold a relevant degree with relevant teacher training as required by the NET Scheme of EDB ( http://www.edb.gov.hk/net)
• Be self-motivated and enthusiastic in creating a language-rich environment, and enjoy interaction with students;
• Preferably have experience teaching speaking skills and phonics.

Job description:

• To be responsible for classroom teaching and assessment.
• To support the English Panel, including assisting in the curriculum development/ adaptation and preparing teaching materials.
• To assist in conducting extra-curricular activities relating to the English Language, e.g., speech, drama, debates, choral speaking, and extensive reading.
• To assist in running oral activities for students after school.
• To assist in running an English corner where students can practise oral English and read English books under guidance.
• To act as an English Language resource person for other teachers in school, including assisting in duties such as proofreading and drafting speeches.

Contract basis from 16/8/2022 to 15/8/2024 (subject to renewal after expiry).  The remuneration package will be based on the EDB Enhanced NET Scheme.
